My research, methods and teaching at a glance.

mission & vision.

Why I do what I do.

Mission

My mission is to understand what drives people to consume more sustainably and to consume less, and to turn these insights into interventions that work in everyday life. I combine theories from social and consumer psychology with rigorous experimental methods. I want to rely increasingly on behavioural data, capturing what people actually do rather than what they say they intend to do, and to use AI and large language models as tools for psychological research, especially in the food domain.

Vision

My vision is a world in which sustainable consumption is the easy, normal and enjoyable choice for everyone, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goal 12: responsible consumption and production.
